Whoop! Whoop!! Its December!!!
Happy new month! Compliments of the season!! I'm super excited!!!
It is le boo's birthday in less than a week! *wink* We just finished the month of thanksgiving and we shouldn't kick off our dancing shoes just yet! Me, I still have plenty reasons to thank God o - Imagine on 1st of December I fell of a bike! New month oh!! But I still have my legs and I can still dance so 'Come and join me sing hallelujah ...'
1) DONT DANCE TO THE TUNE OF BLAME
Everyone is responsible for their actions. Don't be like Adam and Eve - take responsibility, learn from your mistake and move on. Mistakes are steps leading yo to become a better person. By the way, leave the devil out of this - Quit blaming him!
2) DONT DANCE TO THE TUNE OF COMPARISON
We compare goods and services NOT people! King Saul was a powerful and influential man in his time - then he bean to compare himself to David. Comparison only introduces envy, anger, jealousy, low self esteem and rivalry just to mention a few. Comparison based decisions ultimately set you up for failure! Rachael compared herself to her sister Leah because she didn't have children and Leah did which resulted in her giving the maid servant to her husband! Pause! Read that last bit again - SHE GAVE HER HOUSEHELP TO HER HUSBAND BECAUSE SHE WAS COMPARING HERSELF TO HER SISTER, Funny thing is the guy actually loved her more sha but did she see that? 'Nuff said!
3) DONT DANCE TO THE TUNE OF NEGATIVE INFLUENCE
People around you often affect the way you act whether you like it or not! Take Amnon and Jonadab for instance - Amnon liked Tamar and probably told Jonadab about it. That one convinced him to do what he did. The truth is that after a while, you become like the people you have around you, you confide in and you seek advice from. Be careful!
4) DONT DANCE TO THE TUNE OF PEOPLE'S OPINION
I won't say much here - Just check out what happened to Saul in on of the Samuels (whoever finds the passage first and comments before Sunday gets a free coke on me *wink*). Summary of the story is that he listened to the people instead of following God's instructions to the letter and HE paid for it - Not the people but HE!
5) DONT DANCE TO THE TUNE OF THE ENEMY
Don't let your minds be a rubbish dump! If you think something often enough, you start saying it. If you say something often enough, you start doing it. If you do something often enough, it becomes a habit. Habits are what make your character.
(Thought)x = Temptation
Temptation + Action = Sin
Don't try to solve for 'x' EVER!
For an independent generation, we allow the media to dictate a lot of our standards for us. Won't you rather be clay in the potter's hands than a puppet in someone else's?
God's Girl.
