Countdown to Thanksgiving: Get a love life!!!

I keep saying it over and over again - New Estate Thanksgiving is bigger than Christmas!!! And yes!!!  I'm excited - It's less than 24 hours away...  My favourite part of Thanksgiving is the food after church the people *smiles* aND the dancing and the colour and the merriment!  It's basically a feast in itself.

Anyway here's what today's countdown has to offer:

"Last night I watched you sleep, anticipating the morning when I could share My heart with you. But when you awoke you headed straight for the bathroom without speaking to Me, without acknowledging Me. So I waited for you. I waited for you to finish your morning routine, thinking we would have some time together then. While you sipped your coffee, I could share with you from My Word. But you read the morning paper instead without speaking to Me, acknowledging Me. I watched you as you went on your way, and I longed to prepare for the events of the day. But you flipped on your cell phone and visited with a friend on your way to work without acknowledging Me. So I waited for you to take your morning coffee break, our next window of opportunity for a quiet moment together. But you sought out a co-worker instead to chat with and pass the time. Well, the lunch  break and went, with you busying yourself with errands and iddle chatter with passersby. And stull you had no time for Me. I settled into waiting for the end of the day dor us to unwind and spend time together. But you filled your evening with preparing dinner, completing household chores, conversing with friends and family. Without speaking to Me. Without acknowledging Me. And as you watched evening news and wondered aloud what the world was coming to, I longed to tell you, but your comments were not addressed to Me. Eventually you made your way to your bedroom. There, in the stillness of the dark, My desire to embrace you and tell you how much I love you was overwhelming. But you climbed into bed, fell against the pillow your exhasutiong, and fell asleep without speaking to Me, without ever acknowledging Me."

An excerpt from "Get A Love Life" by Michelle McKinney Hammond.

Do you only acknowledge God at Thanksgiving time?  Or maybe when things are going really great?  Or you're one of those who runs to him when things are bad?  Today God is saying,  acknowledge me everyday!  Treat me like your lover 'cos I'm in love with you.

God's Girl.
