Our family lives by three sayings. The first is that we ''do the right thing.'' If you were to walk up to one of my kids on the street and say, ''Remember ...'' they will respond with, ''do the right thing.'' Our second saying is, ''It's important to give it all you got.'' We have learned that life is precious, so while we're here we need to give all we have. And our third saying is; ''I got gaps, and together we fill them.'' Think about that for a moment. We all have things that we're good and not-so-good at, but together we fill each other's gaps. When we work together and complement each other by filling in the gaps, we can achieve our dreams hand in hand.'

What do you live by? What standards are you raising (or planning to raise) your children by? What is your family identified for? We are at stages in our lives where, despite our backgrounds and family beliefs, we are 'free' to make our own decisions. You can't place all the blame for whatever issues you have on your parents anymore. You have to take responsibility. In heaven, na only you go waka go meet Baba God. You would give account for every assignment He's given you - your role as a son, your role as a friend, your role as a sister inclusive even though we often forget those 'little' assignments.
I don’t have much to say today – We just need to reflect on what legacy we are leaving spiritually. It’s not just about telling them what to do, it's about showing them and about living that life. You really should read the book or at least look for the movie (even though it doesn’t really do the book justice) or google their story (which is right up a lot of us’ alley).
Always DO THE RIGHT THING – no matter how hard it is and even when no one’s watching. That’s how you reach out to those around you that you might not be able to reach ordinarily. Don’t be discouraged if you feel like it's making no difference because – it might be one person out of a 100 that needs you and heaven would rejoice over that one soul!
On a lighter note, did you know that according to the Bible, honeymoon should be one year?
“If a man has recently married, he must not be sent to war or have any other duty laid on him. For one year he is to be free to stay at home and bring happiness to the wife he has married. (NIV)”.
- Deuteronomy 24:5
Remember to read this to your bosses when you get married, guys!
Make a decision today to be men of your word or women that can be counted on,
Remember we are on a path of making an extreme difference for God,
And I pray that the Lord help us all,
God’s Girl.
