Youth Week Update!

Faces of the hopeless passing time at the Remand homes have lingered in my mind for days now. 75 Children who don’t know what it means to have a parent, 65 Teenagers who cannot understand the word ‘Care’ and 26 Adults who don’t know what love means anymore were the categories of people we shared the love & passion of Christ with at the remand home in Idi-araba during our Xtend programme last Easter weekend. They quickly dressed up neatly and sat orderly in a common-hall when they heard we were coming. Yet we were just outside cracking our brains on how we would share the little stuff we brought for such a large number, wishing we could do more...

As we walked in with our gifts and stuffs, they stared through the windows with anticipation. In what I would call ‘Anxiosity’ - a mixture of curiosity and anxiety and with their beautiful large eye-balls almost touching the burglary proof affixed to the windows, their gaze planted beams of hope on our skins, burning us all the way till we delivered all we had. Words alone cannot express the emotional experience. It’s our prayer that we learn to value our present privileges and be thankful for it. I'm glad we made the trip!

Youth Week is our next major programme and we are geared up for an atmosphere of jubilee all week long! In preparation for the great week, we need to pickup our Foresight customized shirts which we shall be wearing on May 29th (Publicity purpose)and June 11th (Grand finale`) along with our sister churches for the Concert night. If you have not booked for your piece, you are running out of time. Get measured ASAP!

At this moment, we only have 10% of the cash we need to make the week a reality. I need 49 more God-blessed youths to join me in sowing N10, 000 only (each) for the Youth Week Programme. I will not tell you what you will get from God, you will tell us about it. You will testify!
