FEELING is the voice of the body. REASONING is the voice of the Soul. CONSCIENCE is the voice of the spirit.
When working with a personal computer, there are various processes running at the background (which you may not know) that helps you perform or produce desired results at the end. The whole process of printing a document for instance, is reasoned out by the processor (an engine that helps the PC take decisions) of the PC, and this happens in micro-seconds.
Depending on the Operating System (O/S) you have running, there are standard procedures which the applications in this PC is expected to operate so it does not violate the policy or regulations of the (O/S) vendor. If any of the regulations is broken, the O/S will throw an exception/caution sign to let you know that your actions are irregular. That’s why you see a dialog box popping up on your PC to warn you on incompatibility or eminent danger.
In like manner, when a man gets born again, his Spirit (O/S – Windows XP or Nokia) dies. Then, the same Spirit that raised Jesus from dead revitalizes his mortal body. His system (body) re-boots, and like a pc or phone, it displays ‘Wellcome2Jesus!’ Halleluiah!!! Now this new life comes with new procedure (Nature) that is not consistent with the old one. At this point in time, the man has a brand new spirit but same old soul/mind that needs processing.
Trouble comes when the old Mind (Soul that has refused to be renewed) wants to process or perform a 'usual' task which the O/S does not support, for instance; telling lies. Immediately he tells a lie, a ‘conscience box’ appears; warning him on the danger of what he has said which is inconsistent with the procedures/ways of the new life. If you have seen similar popup in your computer, you will notice that they mostly come with a ‘help’ button or a ‘Contact the Administrator’ link that will take you to the manufacturer’s manual. In the human case, it’s the Bible.
In the next episode, we shall see how carnally minded our soul can be if we do not renew our minds and heed the caution signs of the voice of the spirit (conscience)…
Enjoy!

Hello Frank,
In response to your question, I think the answer is yes, a 'born again' can still make it to hell. In Christ's letter to the church in Sardis (Rev. 3:5) He says amongst other things, "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life...". This means that He can blot out a name from the book of life. As we all know, when one becomes born again, his name is written in the book of life. Now Rev 3:5 is telling us that name can be blotted out. The good thing though is that God's Spirit gives us enough warning.
A study of the letter to the churches will help explain things the more especially the one to the church in Sardis. As we read, let us remember that the letters were written to churches meaning Christians not unbelievers and in this day, we as individuals are the church. I pray the Holy Spirit will guide us and teach us more in Jesus' Name, Amen.
