Honour Begins at Home

One challenge that most men are truly not equipped to tackle is: fatherhood. In our society today, responsibility for our children/family has become a woman’s thing (relegated to the wife alone). Now that women have equally queued up for the cubicles, children are left to the mercy of house helps and Nannies, or at best the Daycare matrons or school teacher. They later grow up to become BIG babies... parents who need nurturing (parenting) themselves. And when tragedy hits the home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith, and their fathering.
I’m so glad I did not miss Singles Mingle last Saturday. God bless the team that made that inspirational program possible. It was a remarkable experience for us (that came) ... just to say the least. My initial attraction was the yummicious “Item 7” (popcorn and ice-cream and then rice & salad plus chicken & beef etc.) and then the ‘Mingling’ (you know I like babes;-) Little did I know that watching a movie in God’s presence and with fellow brethren (corporate inspiration) will be so spiritually impactful. Before ‘Jumping the Broom’ was the movie ‘Courageous’. After watching this movie, I wasn’t too sure I was ready to Mingle anymore. The true responsibility of fatherhood dawned on me. I started to ruminate on a newfound urgency that will help me draw closer to God ... and to my future children. Raising children in a God-honoring way? That's courageous.
COURAGEOUS is the fourth film from Sherwood Pictures, the moviemaking ministry of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia. We found ourselves laughing, crying, and cheering as we got challenged and inspired by everyday heroes who long to be the kinds of dads that make a lifelong impact on their children. If you have seen ‘Fire Proof’ and loved it, then this is your movie ;-). We pray and hope that our SiNgLes MiNgLe team will keep such experience coming… God bless you once again!

Good day All,

The program was quite interesting/captivating as I peruse the experience.

However, It would be better if your recipients could be receiving updates on the scheduled date/timing of such/subsequent programs to enable them participate.

Good work Guys, God bless You

Hello All,
Big thanks sir Oje for a follow-up (a clarion call) reminder mail you did this morning on the need for already parents and parents-to-be to live responsibly to their families as seen in the movie "Courageous" that we saw last weekend. Though I was not privileged to partake in the movie event and enjoying the " yummicious Item" and the "Mingling", I did not want to be found acting “missing in action” part ....(you tell me). Trust me (sharp Benin boy), I quickly made haste to obtain my copy of the movie (I actually hacked into Rev. Ajibade's Lappi, even if you tell him I had already obtained his approval...Lol), and behold the movie is better seen than told mehn!
In my usual addiction of living, walking and sleeping on the internet, I now have a soft copy (pdf format) of the "coco" of that movie...."the Resolution". I believe any man who sincerely partakes in that resolution ought and should have a framed copy of that Resolution on the walls of their homes.
So I have taken the liberty of attaching a copy of it to this mail. (I trust Oje to do the needful)
Enjoy guys and have a blessed week ahead.
Please when is the next movie scheduled??????????????

Regards,
Gold.
