Three-In-One (Conclusion)

Recently, my Unit Head called me to assess a new employee that was going to join my team. She was quite a pretty girl, a fresh Computer Engineering grad from Covenant University. I walked into the waiting room where she sat and I picked up a conversation with her. In less than five minutes, I walked back to my boss and I said; “She’s good to Go!” My boss smiled sheepishly…thinking that my opinion might have been based on her physical appearance alone…lol. Up till date, this beauty does not know my conversation with her was an interview appraisal. All I was looking for was a teachable spirit I could communicate with and I got it in less than 5mins.

At that moment, my boss was skeptical that employing a lady into her unit might be unfavourable for her since submission amongst ladies is a nut-cracking endeavour. Women mostly do not like working with women. A lot of girls that I know prefer male friends to female friends. Do you wonder why? It’s simple - SUBMISSION.

People often confuse the 21st verse of chapter 5 in the book of Ephesians to mean differently. If you are expecting a woman to give you the right of way when you try to cut into her front in traffic, you will wait till eternity. She will rather bash your car and pay the bills…lol. My boss enjoys the fact that I respect her opinion, even when mine ends up to be a better deal over a matter, if she doesn’t buy it I just sweep it under the carpet. No escalations…except for very critical issues.

When you are filled with the Spirit, you are easy to get along with. Also, when you are filled with the Holy Ghost, you are not hard to please. And if someone says something that you do not like, you do not let it bother you. Now, this does not mean that we should be ‘doormats’ to one another. Don’t get me wrong.

Always remember that the filling of the Spirit is not a one-time event. There has to be a continuous life-long experience. That’s why the bible says; be not drunk with wine, wherein in excess, but be filled with the Spirit…Eph 5:18-21. People who get drunk do not quit at one sip of wine, do they? No! They keep drinking; likewise, keep drawing from the well of the Holy Ghost. To live a Spirit-filled life, we need to listen to one another; speak to ourselves in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs; and give thanks. This is how to stay filled with the Spirit and walk in the blessings of God!

Have a fabulous New Year!
